Wide Table:The Wide Table is a conventional tabular display, based on rows and columns, in which records are represented by columns (objects). Cells can be edited individually and the user can scroll horizontally and vertically. |
|||
|
Compressed table:In the Condensed Table, all the object columns are combined to begin with, so that all the records can be displayed in one screen's width. There is no horizontal scrolling. You can sort individual attributes in ascending or descending order by clicking the arrows. The primary sort order (the red arrow) is always the last sort defined. A sort order defined previously is a secondary sort (the blue arrow). |

Overview:As a first step, the "Overview" is the ideal display. It compresses the whole table horizontally in order to show all the objects on one screen's width. There is no need for irritating left-right scrolling. InfoZoom combines an attribute's identical values into one cell. The resulting cell widths provide information about the distribution (frequency) of that attribute's values. Each attribute value is displayed in ascending order either alphapetically or numerically - alphanumeric values only with their initial letters when there is a large quantity of data, numeric values as a contour line between the minimum and maximum of all the numerical values present. In the "Overview", the contents of all the attribute rows are sorted independently from one another, i.e. values that are vertically adjacent have no direct relationship. |

If you are interested in the content of a specific cell, simply select it by double-clicking. You can also mark the cell with a single click and restrict the selection with the "Zoom in" button or exclude values (Exclude). Use "Zoom out" to cancel the restriction of a selected attribute to certain values. Clicking on the "Reset" button cancels all previously made selections.
Simultaneous selection of several cells is accomplished by pressing the Control (Ctrl) or the Shift key together with the corresponding clicks of the mouse. By dragging the mouse, you select areas between two values. The selection steps described can be performed any number of times until you have restricted your data to the desired information.

Use the formula editor to define new calculations (derived attributes) that create new KPIs based on existing data. Use the Analysis button to define multidimensional sections of an OLAP cube. Coloring attribute values (Colors button) allows you to recognize dependencies between attributes at a glance and to define threshold values and make them visible. | ||

You have the option to transfer your analysis results to integrated reporting and business graphics components. Mark the desired attributes and then click on, e.g., the chart or report button. The result is a corresponding presentation graphic or a classic table display. In addition, you can conveniently transfer the data to Microsoft Excel. |
