Banks and financial service providers count on InfoZoom
The analysis-intensive environment of banks and financial service providers provides InfoZoom with many diverse uses. Approximately 50 people's banks and rural credit cooperatives are currently working with InfoZoom, primarily in the areas of VR control, credit risk management, HR/Paisy, marketing/sales and organization/EDP. In this context, InfoZoom incorporates the data sources BB3, Paisy, SAP R/3, Excel and MS SQL.
InfoZoom is also used by savings banks in the areas of DSV rating (customer rating), analysis of ISO databases, inventory/hardware DBs, quarantine DB, S-credit DBs, CSP DBs, cost analysis of phone calls and sales controlling. In this context, InfoZoom accesses data from Oracle database, Lotus Notes, ASCII.

InfoZoom was primarily purchased for streamlining data for VR control. For this purpose, raw data are extracted from the different information units of the internal BB3 system.
The bandwidth of the differently used field contents can be specified with a click of the mouse using the respective frequency information and corrected, if necessary. Modified data are written back to the database system using a BB3 link.
Wherever manual corrections must be made, the export option of InfoZoom provides a means of transferring data from spreadsheets to files.
Customization options increase the information value of the respective lists. InfoZoom provides the option of linking records that is not offered by the BB3 InfoSystem, e.g. between customer and account data. 
InfoZoom is used in the marketing department to define target groups for campaigns and customer segments. The selection of customers is based on criteria such as: certain products, age, last payment received, assets, sales, etc. In addition, InfoZoom is used for mass modification of data.
What used to be a tedious undertaking of several days until now – InfoZoom reduces it to a minor fraction. Compared to a conventional spreadsheet, the use of the program is an invaluable benefit with respect to the tremendous amount of time saved:
- Giant data volumes of different origin (example: BB3 raw data) can be easily selected and analyzed without losing overall perspective.
- Similar field contents are automatically added by number of items and can be changed with a single entry each time with respect to quantity, if necessary. For sales control measures or data streamlining measures, we consider InfoZoom to be an indispensable tool. We are already using InfoZoom efficiently for data analysis in VR control and marketing sales measures.
