Quick help InfoZoom JApp (Java Applet)
Please note that the InfoZoom JApp (Java Applet) release used features restricted functionalities in comparison to the InfoZoom Professional release. The following functionalities are missing: Creating new analysis cubes, tabular reporting, business graphics, data export.
To be able to start the Java Applet, you must activate the "Java" option in your browser.
Create data
InfoZoom JApp presents the read data in two different views: Overview and (condensed) table.
Overview |
|
| This is the perfect view for the first step. The entire table is horizontally condensed to display all objects on the width of the screen. There is no annoying scrolling from left to right. Thanks to this innovative form of visualization, you can perform initial quantity estimates (cell width). |
|
(Condensed) table |
|
| Unlike the attribute-type sorting in the overview, in this overview InfoZoom represents all cell values of a table according to their object assignment on one screen width, i.e. values positioned above each other are in direct reference. |
|
|
You can sort individual attributes in ascending or descending order by clicking on the arrows. In this case, the sort defined last is always the primary one (red-colored arrow), while a previously defined sort is the secondary one (bluearrow). |
Data selection and search
|
If you are interested in the content of a specific cell, simply select it with a click. You can also mark the cell with a single long click and restrict the selection with the Zoom in button or exclude values (Exclude). Use Zoom out to cancel the restriction of a selected attribute to certain values. Clicking on the Resetl button cancels all previously made selections. Simultaneous selection of several cells is accomplished by pressing the Control (Ctrl) or the Shift key together with the corresponding clicks of the mouse. By dragging the mouse, you select areas between two values. The selection steps described can be performed any number of times until you have restricted your data to the desired information. |
Simple and multidimensional analyses
To give you an idea of the analysis options in InfoZoom, we prepared analysis groups for you that are identified by a cube symbol (
).
Such an analysis group contains one or several functions that are used to calculate new KPIs based on existing data. These KPIs are dependent upon the dimensions assigned to an analysis group (link of an existing attribute
).
You can expand an analysis by adding new dimensions. Simply move the desired attribute into the analysis group via drag & drop. A new link is automatically created in the process, and the KPIs resulting from a function are recalculated.
